LOCAL BASEBALL: Zach Gettys' monster game helps Windsor to Susquehanna win vs. Jacobus

- Zach Gettys led Windsor, going 4 for 4, including a homer and a double, and finished with six RBIs.
- Gettys now has 10 RBIs in Windsor's last two games.
Windsor took control early and never looked back on Wednesday evening en route to a 12-5 Susquehanna League baseball triumph over visiting Jacobus.
Windsor scored 10 runs over the first three innings to grab a 10-1 lead.
Zach Gettys was a monster at the plate, going 4 for 4, including a homer and a double, while driving in six runs and scoring twice. Gettys now has 10 RBIs in his last two games.
Cole Daugherty added a triple, two walks and three RBIs for the Cardinals, while Tyler Stabley (two hits, double, run) and Connor Dewees (two hits, three runs, RBI) also excelled at the plate for Windsor.
Gettys also started and pitched three innings, allowing one run. Stabley pitched the final four innings, striking out nine, to get the win.
Mike Austin (three hits, run), Jaron Shimmel (double, two RBIs, run) and Kyle Saxman (two hits, RBI) paced Jacobus.
Windsor improved to 7-22, while Jacobus fell to 9-13.
Mount Wolf 8, Glen Rock 3: At Glen Rock, the Wolves scored five times in the top of the seventh to break at 3-3 tie.
Mark Burnside had two hits, including a homer, with six RBIs and two runs scored for the Wolves. Jesse Sargen (two hits, double, RBI) and Josh Rich (two doubles, RBI, run) also excelled for the winners.
Burnside also pitched a complete game, striking out five without a walk.
Glen Rock was led by Scott Merkle (three hits, double, run), Dan Rogers (two hits, three RBIs) and Dan Rhodes (two hits, double, two runs).
