The top two seeds have lived up their advance billing in the York-Adams American Legion baseball playoffs.

Second-seeded Dover or top-seeded Pleasureville will represent the local league in the upcoming Region 4 playoffs, which start in Hanover next weekend.

Hanover, by virtue of being the host site, was already assured of a berth in the regional tournament.

Dover (14-2) has gone 3-0 in the double-elimination York-Adams playoffs. Pleasureville (13-2-1), meanwhile, has gone 3-1, with its only loss coming to Dover on Friday, 15-4.

The two teams will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday at Shyrock Field, with Dover as the home team. If Dover wins that game, it will win the league playoff title and the regional berth.

If Pleasureville wins the 1 p.m. game, a second, winner-take-all game will follow at approximately 3:30 p.m., with the victor taking the league playoff crown and the regional bid.

Pleasureville advanced to Sunday's action with a 5-4 victory over fifth-seeded New Oxford on Saturday evening in an elimination game.

Earlier Saturday, in another elimination game, New Oxford defeated sixth-seeded Northeastern, 3-2.

In Pleasureville's win over New Oxford, the home team scored the walk-off win in the bottom of the seventh on an error.

Ben Peterson led Pleasureville with two hits, including a double, with an RBI and a run scored. Izak Nadzom added two RBIs for Pleasureville.

A.J. Baadte led New Oxford with two hits and RBI, a run scored and a walk.

Charles Clark's RBI single in the bottom of the seventh gave New Oxford the walk-off win over Northeastern earlier on Saturday. Clark finished with all three New Oxford RBIs in the game.

Bryce Snyder, Spencer Rhoads and Jaden Hennel each had two hits for Northeastern. Rhoads and Hennel drove in Northeastern's runs.
