York Township captured a 5-2 Susquehanna League baseball triumph over Felton on Wednesday evening.

Township plated four runs in the top of the seventh to take the lead. DJ Reed led Township by going 2 for 3, including a double, with two RBIs and one run scored. Also for Township, Derek Pitzer went 2 for 4 with one RBI, while starting pitcher James Guiseppe went 5 2/3, innings, striking out six, walking one and allowing one earned run, but got a no-decision.

For the Ducks, Patrick Daugherty doubled with one run scored, while Cole Delp doubled with one run scored and one RBI.

OTHER BASEBALL

Dover 1, Southwestern 0: In the York-Adams American Legion opener, Dover captured a 1-0 victory behind a three-hit shutout from Zack Copp, who had 11 strikeouts.

Aaron Eckard scored only run in the second inning on a groundout. Anthony Friday had two hits for Dover.
