BASEBALL: Terry Godfrey pitches four-hit shutout to lead East Prospect to Susquehanna win


After a week packed with rain and postponements, there was finally some local baseball action on Sunday afternoon.

Terry Godfrey pitched a four-hit shutout for East Prospect on Tuesday evening vs. Red Lion.

Terry Godfrey put on a dominating pitching performance in East Prospect's 3-0 Susquehanna League triumph over visiting Jacobus.

The left-hander pitched a complete game and allowed four hits and no walks, while striking out six.

Mark Schauren drove in two runs for the Pistons, while Ryky Smith went 1 for 2 with an RBI, run scored and two walks.

East Prospect improved to 2-0. Jacobus fell to 0-2.




Hallam 4, Windsor 0: At Hallam, Travis Stump and Alex Tucci combined on a four-hit shutout for Hallam. Stump went five innings, giving up two hits and two walks, while striking out two. Tucci struck out four without a walk in two innings. Tucci also had two hits and two RBIs for the winners. Zach Harrison had two hits for Windsor.
