Spring Grove High School graduate Levi Krause has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division Baseball Athlete of the Week.

Krause is a senior third baseman for California University of Pennsylvania. It was the second time in his career he's earned the honor.

For last week, Krause posted a .400 batting average (6 for 15) with one homer, eight RBIs and six runs scored, helping the Vulcans post a four-game series sweep over Pitt-Johnstown last weekend.

A consensus all-region selection in 2017, Krause is tied for ninth in program history with 19 career homers.

He is currently tied for ninth in the conference with 22 runs scored, while being tied for the team lead with 24 RBIs and 12 walks this season. He is hitting .262 with three homers this spring.

The Vulcans are 13-10 overall and 9-4 in the PSAC.
