Ken Kopp opened up his 2017 York-Adams American Legion baseball season in style on Wednesday evening.

Kopp threw a no-hitter to lead Northeastern to a 6-0 triumph over Dover in Manchester.

Kopp struck out 10 and walked three

Jonah Latshaw went 3 for 3 with two runs scored and one RBI for Northeastern, while Robby Clipp doubled with two RBIs and Brant Myers doubled with one run scored. Robby Elzinga also doubled.



Suburban York 3, New Oxford 3 (8 innings): At Suburban, the home team was down to its last out, when Collin Slenker hit a two-run single, plating Jake Taylor and Ryan Day, to tie the game at 3-3. The game was called at the end of the inning because of darkness, with each team awarded one point in the standings. For the game, Taylor went 2 for 4, while starting pitcher Lucas Miller threw 6 1/3 innings of one-run ball, but got a no-decision.

Pleasureville 1, Bermudian Springs 0 (9 innings): At Pleasureville, Benjamin Reed scored the lone run of the game in the bottom of the ninth to give the home team the walk-off victory. Landon Ness picked up the game-winning RBI, while pitcher Michael Livingston started the game on the mound and threw seven shutout innings, striking out five, walking four and only allowing two hits, but he got the no-decision. Brandon Walters threw the final two shutout innings in relief to pick up the victory.
