BASEBALL: Jefferson rallies for win vs. Pleasureville


Jefferson plated three runs in the top of the seventh to take the lead for good and completed a 5-4 comeback victory at Pleasureville in Central League baseball action on Thursday evening.


Colin Porter led the visitors by going 3 for 4, including a double, with three runs scored and one RBI. Teammate Ross Drawbaugh doubled. For the home team, Scott Ream went 2 for 3, including a double, with one run scord and one RBI. Tyler Wagner went 2 for 3 with one run scored and one RBI.



Mount Wolf 10, Dillsburg 0: At Dillsburg, the Wolves scored seven runs in the top of the fifth to break a scoreless tie and then tacked on three more runs in the sixth to easily defeat Dillsburg. Dan Dierdorff, Tyler Page and Ryan Wentzel each drove in two runs, with Page’s RBIs coming on a triple. Adam Hoff pitched a complete game for Mount Wolf, allowing five hits and striking out four.



Jacobus 8, Conrads 3: At Jacobus, the Jackals led 6-0 after two innings and went on to capture the victory. Drew Kelley led the offense for the home team with a homer, three RBIs and one run scored. Also for Jacobus, Anthony Ferrell went 2 for 3, including a double, with two runs scored and one RBI; Brian Crimmel went 2 for 3 with two doubles and one run scored; Eric Morrison had a triple and two RBIs; Kerry Clark doubled; and Mike Crowe threw a complete game, striking out three, walking one and allowing just one earned run. For Conrads, Carter Krick went 3 for 4, including a double, with one run scored and one RBI, while teammate Rick Thompson went 2 for 2 with one RBI.

East Prospect 9, York Township 0: At York Township, Brett Houseal led the visitors by throwing a shutout. Houseal struck out three, walked two and allowed just two singles. Also for Prospect, Anthony Torreullas went 3 for 3, including a double, with three runs scored and one RBI, Ryky Smith went 2 for 4 with one run scored and Dylan Stoops and Houseal each had one double.

Hallam 11, Felton 3: At Hallam, Zach Zambito (two hits, three RBIs, run), Xavier Bonilla (two hits, homer, three RBIs, run) and Colby Shimmel (two hits, two RBIs, two runs) powered the Express to the win. Erik Paules (three hits, double, two RBIs), Cody Heffner (two hits, run) and Jake Deppen (two hits) led Felton.



Shippensburg 12, York Suburban 4: At Suburban, Lucas Miller led the Trojans by going 3 for 3, including two runs scored.
