Stoops hurls East Prospect to victory over Hallam

Dylan Stoops was dominant on the mound to lead East Prospect to a 1-0 victory over visiting Hallam in Susquehanna League baseball action on Wednesday evening.

The 6-foot, 4-inch left-hander, who was recently released by the San Diego Padres' organization, allowed just five hits over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking three. He did not allow an extra-base hit.

Alex Tucci was nearly as good for the Express, allowing six singles over six innings, with three strikeouts and two walks.

East Prospect (2-0) scored its only run in the bottom of the fifth, with Mark Schauren getting the RBI. Dalton Renn had two hits for Prospect, while Luis Padilla had a hit and scored the only run.
