Stewartstown opened up its 2017 Susquehanna League baseball season on Tuesday with a 3-2 triumph over visiting York Township.

The game was shortened to six innings because of darkness.

Cody Brittain and Jordan Lozzi combined to throw a one-hitter to lead the home team to the victory. Also for Stewartstown, Marcus Stevenson connected for two doubles, while Jason Mitchell hit one double.


Hallam 19 Windsor 0 (5 innings): At Hallam, Joe Pietrobone homered twice and drove in eight runs. Dan Wecker homered and drove in two runs. Xavier Bonilla had three hits and Angel Matias drove in three. Alex Tucci pitched four innings, allowed two hits and two walks and struck out nine. Travis Stump pitched a scoreless inning. Matt Robinson had two hits for Windsor.
