York County Baseball Championship Series schedule set
- Hallam and Jefferson will play in the best-of-three York County Baseball Championship Series.
- Game is 1:30 p.m. Saturday at East Prospect.
- Game 2, and if needed Game 3, will be played starting 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Jefferson.
The schedule for the best-of-three York County Baseball Championship Series has been set.
The series will pit Susquehanna League regular-season champion Hallam vs. Central League regular-season champion Jefferson.
Game 1 is set for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at East Prospect.
Game 2 is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Jefferson.
Game 3, if needed, will be played at Jefferson on Sunday, starting approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of Game 2.
Jefferson is coming off its first-ever Central League regular-season title at 23-6-3. The Titans were swept by Manchester in the best-of-three Central League playoff semifinals.
Hallam won the Susquehanna League regular-season crown for the third time in four years at 25-7-0. The Express won two Susquehanna League playoff series before falling to Jacobus in the best-of-five league title playoff series, 3-1.
Glen Rock won last year's county crown. Hallam last won the county championship in 2013 and owns two championships overall. Jefferson has never played in the county finals. Overall, the Central League holds a 27-11 edge in the series.
Both Hallam and Jefferson have also qualified for the Tom Kerrigan Colonial York Tournament over Labor Day Weekend, along with Susquehanna League playoff champion Jacobus and Central League playoff champion Stoverstown.
