Susquehanna League baseball postseason begins Thursday

The Susquehanna League is about to start its baseball postseason.

The action begins Thursday with a play-in game between ninth-seeded Felton (4-28) and eighth-seeded Windsor (7-25). The game is set for 5:45 p.m. at Windsor.

Jaron Shimmel dumps water on Hallam Express manager Terry Golden after Hallam defeated York Township 9-4 to win the Susquehanna League regular-season title. Hallam will now try to also win the league playoff crown.

The best-of-3 quarterfinal contests start at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Windsor/Felton winner at regular-season champion Hallam (25-7); seventh-seeded York Township (11-21) at second-seeded East Prospect (23-9) and sixth-seeded Stewartstown (15-17) at third-seeded Jacobus (23-9). Fifth-seeded Conrads (15-17) is at fourth-seeded Red Lion (21-11) at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Game 2 in each quarterfinal series is set for 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Windsor/Felton winner, at York Township, at Stewartstown and at Conrads.

Game 3 in each quarterfinal series, if needed, is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at Hallam, at East Prospect, at Jacobus and at Red Lion.
