LOCAL BASEBALL: Brett Alaimo shines in Red Lion win

  • Red Lion's Brett Alaimo pitched a complete game to get the win and also homered at the plate.
  • Thomas Taylor added two RBIs for Red Lion.

Brett Alaimo pitched a complete game to lead Red Lion to a 5-1 triumph over visiting Windsor on Wednesday evening in Susquehanna League baseball action.

Alaimo also homered to aid his own cause.

Thomas Taylor had two RBIs for the winners.

Red Lion improved to 12-7, while Windsor fell to 6-17.

CENTRAL

LEAGUE GAME

Manchester 8, Jefferson 2: At Manchester, Josh Reeser led the home team to the victory by going 2 for 3, including a two-run homer in the fifth. Also for Manchester, Dan Sepic doubled, while Michael Houseal threw a complete game on the mound, striking out six and walking one to pick up the win. For Jefferson, Scott Trail went 3 for 4. Manchester improved to 11-7-0. Jefferson fell to 9-5-2.
