Brady Dolan threw a one-hit shutout to lead first-place Northeastern to a 1-0 triumph over visiting Spring Grove on Monday evening in York-Adams American Legion action.

Dolan struck out eight and walked four.

Brant Myers provided all the offense the home team would need when he hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth to score Brayton Bare with one out.

Kenny Kopp went 2 for 3 for Northeastern, while Jonah Latshaw went 2 for 4 and Ryan Shindler doubled.

For Spring Grove, Jon Sager threw a complete game, striking out four and walking two, while Logan Miller tripled for Spring Grove's lone hit.

Northeastern improved to 12-1-0, while Spring Grove fell to 6-6-0.

Red Lion 14, York 4: At Red Lion, the home team broke open a 4-4 deadlock with a five-run fifth inning and five-run sixth. The game was ended in the sixth because of the 10-run mercy rule. Ben Kitzmiller paced the winners with three hits and two RBIs, while Hunter Smith and Erik Paules added two hits and two RBIs apiece. Paules got the win on the mound, pitching all six inning, while striking out eight. Red Lion improved to 9-3-1.

New Oxford 16, Dover 1: At Dover, Ethan Hertz led the visitors' offense by going 5 for 5, including a homer and two doubles, with four runs scored, and three RBIs. For Dover, Hunter Berkheimer doubled.

LEAGUE GAME

Hallam 9, Conrads 7: At Hallam, the home team outslugged the visitors to improve to 16-3. Colby Shimmel went 4 for 4 with three runs scored and belted a two-run homer in the sixth that broke a 7-7 tie. Angel Matias was 3 for 4 for the winners with four RBIs, while Jaron Shimmel was 2 for 3 with three runs scored. Alex Tucci got the win in relief with two shutout innings. Xavier Bonilla, Jackson Marshall and Brandon Miller each had two hits for Conrads. Miller doubled, while Glen Dietrich homered for Conrads. Hallam leads the Susquehanna League and will face second-place Jacobus (13-4) at Jacobus at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Conrads fell to 7-9.
