Brady Dolan struck out 12 and allowed just two singles in a complete-game effort to lead unbeaten Northeastern to a 5-2 York-Adams American Legion victory at Shiloh on Wednesday evening.
Dolan walked just two.
Robbie Elzinga tripled for the winners.
Northeastern remains in first place and stays perfect at 9-0-0, good for 18 points.
Pleasureville 14, Suburban York 4 (5 innings): At Pleasureville, Benjamin Ward led the home team by going 1 for 1 with two RBIs, two runs scored and three walks. Also for the winners, Benjamin Reed went 1 for 1 with two runs scored, two RBIs and two walks; Michael Davis went 2 for 3; Alex Myers went 1 for 2 with three RBIs; and Joe Kroeger tripled and had two runs scored. For Suburban York, Ryan Day and Brendon Delridge each went 2 for 3, including a double.
Dover 6, Stewartstown 2: At Dover, the home team plated five unanswered runs (three in the fifth, two in the sixth) to secure the victory. Nathan Hamme led the home team by going 3 for 3. Also for Dover, Daniel Miller went 1 for 2 with two runs scored, Trevor Staub had two RBIs, Wyatt Barton had two runs scored and Dalton Kellison threw three innings of relief, striking out four and walking one to pick up the win. For Stewartstown, Kyle Boone went 1 for 1 with two walks and Ben Lowe doubled.
Gettysburg 6, Spring Grove 5: At Spring Grove, the visitors led 6-1 going into the bottom of the seventh and hung on for the victory, surviving a four-run Spring Grove rally. Brandyn Schuchart led the Spring Grove offense with three hits. Teammate Jey Yeater had two RBIs.
