Kenny Kopp threw a no-hitter on Wednesday to lead Northeastern to an 8-0 season-opening victory at Dover in York-Adams American Legion baseball action.

Kopp stuck out eight, walked none and only threw 79 pitches.

At the plate, Kopp connected for three hits, going 3 for 4 with one run scored. Also for Northeastern, Ryan Shindler went 2 for 4 with one RBI, Hayden Seifert had two runs scored and two RBIs, Jonah Latshaw went 2 for 3 with one run and one RBI and Steven Miller went 2 for 4, including a double, with two runs scored.

LEGION BASEBALL

Suburban York 1, New Oxford 0: At New Oxford, Brendon Delridge led the visitors by throwing a shutout, striking out two and walking two, while also providing the offense at the plate, hitting an RBI single in the first to knock in the lone run of the game.

Pleasureville 10, Bermudian Springs 7: At York Springs, Joseph Kroeger led the visitors by belting a triple and driving in four runs. Also for Pleasureville, Beau Burris went 2 for 3 with one run scored and one RBI, Michael Davis went 2 for 3 with one RBI and Nicholas Starr scored three runs.

Red Lion 11, Shiloh 5: At Shiloh, the visitors outslugged the home team. Nathan Hodgkinson tripled for the winners, while Erik Paules belted two doubles. Zach Townsend got the win on the mound.

Red Lion 3, East Prospect 2: At Red Lion, Brady Taylor, Thomas Taylor and Bren Taylor all had key hits in the bottom of the third to help plate all three runs for the game. Red Lion starting pitcher Tyler Butcher went into the sixth inning, striking out eight and walking five to pick up the victory, while Sam Deardorff came on in relief in the sixth with the tying run on second to shut down the home team rally. For East Prospect, Ryan Saxman had two hits with one run scored, while Terry Godfrey threw a complete game, striking out four and walking none.
