T.J. Ostrom captures York County Amateur Golf Association Champion of Champions golf crown


T.J. Ostrom fired a 1-over-par 72 on Sunday to win the York County Amateur Golf Association Champion of Champions Tournament at Valley Green Golf Club in northern York County.

The event was sponsored by Etzweiler Family Funeral Services.

Steve Goodley of Royal Manchester was second at 73, followed by Regents' Glen's Scott Dobak, Bon Air's Bobby Stiffler and Cool Creek's John Lowder at 74.

The top 10 was rounded out by Royal Manchester's Bob Ruby at 75, Bon Air's Jay Campbell at 77, Cool Creek's Randy Grim at 78, Briarwood East's Logan Snyder at 78 and Royal Manchester's Scott Knouse at 78.

The only other golfers to break 80 were Valley Green's Ed Knoll and Briarwood West's Bruce Smith, both at 79.

Campbell won the net division at 68. Knoll and Lowder tied for second at 71.

The Super Senior Division champion was Briarwood's Bill Brenner at 76, six shots better than Briarwood's Wayne Jacobs at 82. Brenner and Jacobs were also first and second in the net division at 74 and 75, respectively. South Hills' Al Beily was third in super senior gross (85) and net (79).
