The United States Women's National Field Hockey team eliminated from World Cup

The United States Women's National Field Hockey team was eliminated from the 2018 Vitality Women’s Hockey World Cup in London on Sunday.

The Americans battled to a 1-1 tie with India. The U.S. team had to win that game to advance out of pool-play action.
The Americans, who train at the nearby Spooky Nook Sports Complex in Lancaster County, finished with two ties and a loss in the tournament, as did India.
Margaux Paolino of Villanova scored for the U.S. squad.
Central York High School graduate Lauren Moyer was a member of the U.S. team at the event.
