The York County Junior Golf Association held its first official event of 2018 on Monday at soggy Regents' Glen Country Club.
Playing on a course saturated by an inch and a half of rain, Nick Hooper fired an 81 to win the Boys' 15-18 Blue Division.
Andrew Roberts took second, a shot back, followed by Michael DeRose at 83.
In the Girls' Division, Lillian McNally shot a 96 to take first. Taylor Hicks shot a 101 for second and Makensy Knaub took third at 106.
In the Boys' 15-18 White Division, Alex Gekas picked up the win on a match of cards over Patrick Reed. Both shot 81s. Taking third at 83 was Jordan Staub.
In the Boys' 14-and-Under Green Division, Colin Vineberg carded an 84 for the victory in his his first YCJGA event. Last year's 14-and-under champion, Trevor Snyder, was second at 86. Finishing third at 93 was Ryan Thomas.
In the Nine-Hole Division, Lawson Leeper picked up the win over Mason Tucker. Both shot 39s and Lawson won on a match of cards. Taking third was Alexander Beckley.
The next YCJGA event will be the Bob Blecher Boys' and Girls' Junior Championship at Briarwood East Golf Club on Monday, June 18.
