Two well-known local golfers finished first recently at the Briarwood East Senior Two-Man Scramble.
Bill Brenner and Scott Knouse teamed for a 60, which was three shots clear of the two teams tied for second at 63: Randy Grim/Jay Kostenbauder and George Troutman/Bill Chase.
Brenner and Knouse have combined to win nine York County Amateur titles: Brenner has six and Knouse has three.
There was three-way tie for fourth at 64 among: Dale Mitchell/Chris Casale, Skip Shaffer/Marty Trimmer and Troy Jesko/Sam Berryman.
Greg Ruark and Jeff Amrhein took the net title at 59. Mike Chapman and Kevin Chevillar were second at 59 1/3, followed by Jim Senft and Jim Ream at 60 1/3.
Local aces: There were three local holes-in-one recorded this week.
Johnny Gilden aced the 133-yard, third hole at Briarwood East with an 8-iron. It was witnessed by Bobby Whitley and Jack Whitley.
John Klingaman made a hole-in-one at Cool Creek Golf Club on No. 11. The hole was playing 175 yards and he used a 5-hybrid. His playing partners were Tom Altoff, Ernie Smeltzer and Brady Bentz.
Mike Richer used a 9-wood to ace the 12th hole at Out Door Country Club. It was witnessed by Joe Dougherty, Jerry Mayo and Doug Seymour.
