New York bowler Anthony Pepe takes PBA regional title at Colony Park Lanes North

A New York bowler made another profitable visit to York County over the weekend.
Anthony Pepe, of Elmhurst, New York, captured the Professional Bowlers Association East Region Bowlers Supply/Storm Products Open on Sunday, Aug. 6, at Colony Park Lanes North. The event was presented by Roto Grip.
Pepe, a 29-year-old left-hander, has now won two of his five PBA regional championships in York County. The other came in 2014.
In a relatively low-scoring title match, Pepe beat B.J. Moore, 198-178, giving him the top prize of $2,500.
Moore, a Pennsylvanian from Greensburg, took home $1,400 for second place.
Pepe was the top qualifier boasting a 244 average for eight games in a field of 127 bowlers.
Jon VanHees of Charlestown, Rhode Island took third place and earned $1,100. Andrew Suscreba of Clifton, New Jersey was listed as the fourth-place finisher, but also earned $1,100.
