Shreffler wins YCJGA event: Austin Shreffler won Monday's York County Junior Golf Association tournament blue division at Grandview Golf Course by virtue of a tiebreaker.
Shreffler and Will Gekas both shot matching five-over 77s to tie for first, but Shreffler was awarded the win on a card-matching tiebreaker. Shreffler made a par on the course's hardest hole, No. 6, while Gekas made a bogey. Logan Snyder finished in third with an 80.
Card-matching tiebreakers were used to break any medalist ties due to inclement weather preventing any playoffs from taking place.
Trevor Snyder won the green division event, which was shortened to nine holes, with a 43. He tied Jimmy Hook IV, but Snyder won on a card-matching tiebreaker by making a bogey on the par-4 sixth, while Hook took a double-bogey.
In the white division, Andrew Roberts was the only player to break 40 on the day, shooting an even-par 37 to win by six strokes. He bested Channing Bratton and Russell McPaul, who tied for second with 43s. Bratton was awarded second on the card-matching tiebreaker.
In the girls' red division, Taylor Pratte edged Cailey Roman with an 86, while Roman shot 87.
In the 9-hole division, Caden Blanchette took first with a 42, followed by Alexander Beckley's 44 and Ryan Thomas' 45.
