A host of former and current championship athletes will hit the links June 19 for the 29th annual Eddie Khayat–George Tarasovic Celebrity Golf Classic.

The tournament was founded by Tarasovic, a 12-year NFL veteran, and Khayat, the former head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles who enjoyed a long NFL career as both a coach and player. It has raised nearly $700,000 for York County Special Olympics.

More than 30 celebrities have agreed to attend. Among those scheduled are 1972 NFL MVP Larry Brown of the Washington Redskins, as well as former Penn State lineman Glenn Ressler, a Super Bowl V champion with the Baltimore Colts.

Other names with Penn State ties include former Red Lion standout and Philadelphia Eagle Scott Fitzkee, former Baltimore Colt Lydell Mitchell and Nittany Lions men's basketball assistant coach Keith Urgo.

Dwayne Woodruff, who won a title in 1979 as a cornerback with the Pittsburgh Steelers, is also scheduled, as is John Bunting, who won a ring as an assistant coach with the St. Louis Rams in 2000 and played for one as a Philadelphia Eagle in 1981. Former NFL champions Pete Retzlaff and Maxie Baughan (1960 Eagles) are also on the list.

Current NFL players Taquan Mizzell (Ravens) and Darius Jennings (Titans) look to take part as well.
