Four-time Bud Light York County Match Play Championship winner Adam Baer averaged 255 for six games at Suburban Bowlerama on Sunday to take the lead after 12 games of qualifying.

Baer rolled games of 255, 233, 258, 279, 258 and 250.

The top 12 bowlers advanced to match play this weekend. Baer opens match play with a nine-pin lead over second-place Chuck Crone, 3,054 to 3,045.

Bowlers roll six games of match play, beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Hanover Bowling Centre, and six more games of match play, starting at 10 a.m. Sunday, at Lion Bowl.
