The Mid-Atlantic Power League Volleyball Tournament returns to York for the seventh straight year this weekend, bringing more than 100 teams from as many as seven states.
More than 4,000 athletes and spectators from across the Mid-Atlantic region will converge on York. Elite junior girls’ teams are expected to pack the York Expo Center’s Utz Arena and Memorial Hall West for the competition. About 120 teams will hail from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware and North Carolina.
The York County Convention & Visitors Bureau estimates that the event will generate more than $2.3 million in economic impact for the community. The event was attracted through the YCCVB Sport York program.
