Cody Nunn

Latest bowling accomplishment: Rolled an 824 series at Colony Park Lanes North.

I started bowling: At Colony Park Lanes North when I was 6 years old.

Best bowling advice I ever received: Don't get too upset.

Most memorable bowling moment: My 824 series. It was my first 800 series and it included my second career 300 game.

Bowling appeals to me because: It's relaxing and I enjoy the mental aspect of the game.

Most difficult part of bowling: Keeping from getting mad.

Most non-bowlers don't realize: How competitive the sport can be.

Advice I would give someone just starting to bowl: Stay slow and concentrate.

Professional Bowlers Association bowler I enjoy watching: Wes Malott.

Future goal: Roll another 800 series.

Note: Colony Park Lanes North hosts the Hayden Mitchell Memorial Tournament at 9:30 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 29. The format features five games of qualifying with the top eight advancing to bracket-style finals. One in five will cash. The entry fee is $50 and first place is expected to pay $500.
