Bowler: Jerry Bigelow, 77, of Columbia.
Latest bowling accomplishment: Rolled his first career 300 game at East Lincoln Lanes.
My reaction to the 300 game: I couldn't believe it. I never thought I would get one. Before the last ball, I took a deep breath and focused on hitting my mark. All 12 strikes were in the pocket.
I started bowling: At Columbia Lanes in 1960.
Bowlers I have learned the most from: John Ernie and John Jameson.
Part of my game I'm working on improving: My concentration.
Most difficult part about bowling: Converting the 7-pin.
Most non-bowlers don't realize that: It's a sport that can be fun.
Advice I would give someone just starting to bowl: Find a good coach.
Future goal: Roll an 800 series.
