Samantha Schnur

Latest bowling accomplishment: Averaged 198 for the 2015-2016 season.

I started bowling: At Forest Hill Lanes when I was 5 years old.

Bowlers I've learned the most from: My mother, Michelle, and my father, Scott Sr.

Best bowling advice I've ever received: There's always another tournament.

Part of my game I'm working on improving: Being able to have fun again.

Most memorable bowling moments: Rolling my first 200 game and being selected as the National Female Youth Ambassador of the Year by the United States Bowling Congress.

Bowling appeals to me because: Everyone can do it.

Professional bowler I enjoy watching: Carolyn Dorin-Ballard.

Advice I would give someone just starting to bowl: Don't get discouraged. You can't become a good bowler overnight.

Future goal: Continue to promote the sport and increase the number of youth league bowlers at our center, East Lincoln Lanes.

Note:Colony Park Lanes North will play host to a King of the Hill Tournament at 10:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 23. The format is single-elimination main bracket with a consolation bracket. Bowlers must lose twice in order not to cash. The cost is $35 per person, if paid by Nov. 20, and $40 per person after that date. First place is expected to pay $500. For information, call (717) 848-6262.
