Former Colgate men's basketball standout Austin Tillotson has signed his first professional contract overseas in Kosovo with KB Peja.

Eastern York grad Austin Tillotson led Colgate in points, assists and steals this season.

The Eastern York High School graduate is listed on the KB Peja roster and is one of three Americans on the team.

Tillotson couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

KB Peja plays in the Kosovo Basketball Superleague, the top division in the country. It's also a member of the Balkan International Basketball League, a league that is comprised of several countries from the Balkans, and is also part of the FIBA Europe Cup, the top European club tournament in basketball.

KB Peja has won six Kosovo Basketball Superleague titles, with its most recent championship coming in 2013. It's also won two Kosovo Cups, a domestic tournament that includes all clubs in Kosovo from every division, and two Kosovo SuperCups. Most recently, KB Peja won both of those tournaments in 2015.

Tillotson graduated from Eastern York in 2011 and originally played at Monmouth, where he averaged 6.1 points and 2.0 assists per game as a freshman. After his freshman season, he transferred to Colgate and was forced to sit out the 2012-13 season because of NCAA transfer rules.

In his redshirt sophomore season, Tillotson had one of his best collegiate campaigns, averaging 13.3 points per game and 4.4 assists per game. He followed that up with a junior year in 2014-15 when he averaged 10.7 points per game and 4.1 assists. In his final year with Colgate, Tillotson averaged a career-high in points (15.1) and assists (5.2).

Tillotson leaving his mark at Colgate

Tillotson scored his 1,000th collegiate point last season and was named CollegeHoopsDaily All-Patriot League First Team in his redshirt sophomore year.

Tillotson becomes the second York County men's basketball product to sign an overseas professional contract this year. York Suburban grad and former Dickinson College standout Ted Hinnenkamp signed with the Spanish pro team, Fundación Baloncesto León, last month.

Former York High product Aignee Freeland, who played collegiately at Edinboro, signed with ICIM ARAD in Romania back in July, where she'll be under contract through March of 2017.
