GOLF: Justin Heisler takes Hickory Heights crown
- Justin Heisler had a 27-hole total of 115 to win the Hickory Heights men's title.
- Jane Alwood took the women's championship with a 151 total.
- Ken Smith and Andy Grove won the Briarwood Two-Man Scramble with a 59.
Justin Heisler shot a 27-hole total of 115 to win the Hickory Heights Club Championship by two strokes over Kyle Williams.
Third place in the Championship Flight went to Shane Henry at 117.
Bob Werner posted a score of 120 to win the First Flight, with Lance Williams (126) second and Paul Miller (127) third.
Jane Alwood carded a 151 to win the Women's Flight.

Smith, Grove team to win Briarwood Two-Man Scramble: Ken Smith teamed with Andy Grove to win the Briarwood Two-Man Scramble with a score of 59.
They were able to edge Kory Krout and Dan Wolfe by a stroke. Finishing in a tie for third place were the teams of Kevin Crumbling and Gus Minkin and Shane Henry and
Matt Henry, with scores of 62 each.
Giambalvo takes Out Door junior crown: Jonathan Giambalvo carded a 79 to win the Out Door Country Club Junior Championship by three strokes over Matt Bricker and Brady St. Pierre.
Grant Seymour finished fourth.
Briarwood clinics: Briarwood Golf Club is taking registration for a series of clinics set to begin Aug. 8 and Aug. 9.
Classes meet two evenings per week, on either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., for two weeks. A free nine-hole round of golf is provided.

Ace recorded at Briarwood East: York’s Travis Winemiller had a hole-in-one on Sunday at Briarwood East Golf Club.
Winemiller used a 9-iron to ace the 153-yard third hole.
It was witnessed by Kirby Brubaker and Kim Brubaker.
