Young York basketball player on national title team

Daveyon Lydner, who was born and raised in York, recently helped the Baltimore United Team Thrill win the 10-and-Under AAU fourth-grade national basketball title in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Lydner has been playing with the Thrill since second grade.

In the title game, the Thrill captured a 48-28 victory vs. Nightrydas Elite. Lydner had three 3-pointers in the game and finished with nine points.

In addition, Lydner is also nationally ranked at No. 43 on the coast2coastpreps.com website national rankings for the class of 2024.
