Bill Brenner captures another Briarwood golf crown
- Bill Brenner won the Briarwood West Senior title with a 65.
- Sam Berryman finished in second place with a 70.
Bill Brenner can add another championship to his impressive golf resumé.
Brenner, who owns six York County Amateur titles and dozens of crowns at Briarwood Golf Club, easily won the Briarwood West Senior Championship over the weekend.
He fired a 65, to triumph by five shots over second-place Sam Berryman.
Berryman won the 50-55 gross division, one shot ahead of Clair Stough Jr. Mike Mikita won the 50-55 net division at 63.
Skip Shaffer took the 59-67 gross division at 71, two shots ahead of Stu Olewiler. Olewiler did win the 59-67 net division at 63.
Brenner had the top score in the 69-and-over gross division. Clair Stough Sr. was second at 71. Clair Stough Sr. won the 69-and-over net division at 65.
OTHER GOLF NOTE
McKinney has ace at Briarwood: Dover's Barb McKinney had a hole-in-one over the weekend at Briarwood East Golf Club.
McKinney used a 6-iron to ace the 128-yard eighth hole. It was witnessed by Heather Bitner.
Breeden has hole-in-one at Hickory Heights: Dave Breeden had a hole-in-one at Hickory Heights Golf Club near Spring Grove on Tuesday.
Breeden used a 9-iron to ace the 140-yard 11th hole. It was witnessed by George Melbert and Ken Eberly.
