BASEBALL: East Prospect pitcher hurls one-hit shutout

East Prospect's Mike Androconis threw a one-hit shutout to lead the Pistons to a 3-0 Susquehanna League baseball victory at Stewartstown on Thursday evening.
Androconis struck out two and walked two. The only Stewartstown hit was a single by David Christopher.
The visitors plated all three runs in the top of the fourth. Dan Marano highlighted the three-run inning by picking up two RBIs. Teammate Ryan Saxman went 1 for 1 with one run scored.
Stewartstown pitchers Cody Brittain and Jordan Losey combined to throw a two-hitter, striking out 10, but also walking 10.
Pleasureville 6, Shiloh 5: At Shiloh, the visitors led 6-4 going into the bottom of the seventh and held on for the victory. Chet Haifley and Pat Clement led the visitors by each going 2 for 4. Also for the Hawks, Matt Meyer doubled, while starting pitcher Tyler Fisher threw six innings, striking out seven and walking four to pick up the win. For Shiloh, Cole Bixler went 3 for 4, while Chase James went 2 for 4 with a double, and Michael Santiago doubled.
Glen Rock 10, Dover 1: At Dover, Mike Spadafore led the visitors by going 4 for 5, including a double, with three runs scored. Also for Glen Rock, Justin Anderson went 3 for 4, including a double, with four RBIs; Dan Rogers went 3 for 4, including a double, with three RBIs and one run scored; Collin Crone went 3 for 4, including a triple, with two RBIs and one run scored; Alex Coombs went 2 for 3 with three runs scored and one RBI; and Casey Hood threw a complete game, striking out 11 and walking three. For Dover, Colt Zarilla went 2 for 3 with one RBI.
