Mark Burnside threw a four-hit shutout to lead Mount Wolf to a 1-0 victory over visiting Dover on Thursday in Central League baseball action.
He struck out five and walked three. Dan Dierdorff doubled and scored the lone run in the top of the first. It was the Wolves' only hit. Dustin Kuhn had the RBI.
For Dover, Mitch Slater went 2 for 3, while teammate Derek Slagle threw a complete game, striking out two, walking two and allowing just the one hit.
Pleasureville 5, Manchester 1: At Manchester, Les Castro led the visitors by going 4 for 4, including a triple, a double, one run scored and one RBI. Tyler Fisher threw five innings to get the win, striking out three and walking three. For Manchester, Austin Allison and Matt Jordan each doubled.
Red Lion 7, Stewartstown 4: At Stewartstown, Tyler Butcher pitched a complete-game six-hitter to get the win. The visitors took advantage of five walks and six hit batters by Stewartstown pitchers. Cole Daugherty doubled for Red Lion.
Conrads 8, Felton 1: At Conrads, Rick Thompson led the home team by belting two homers and collecting three RBIs. Also for Conrads, Justin Berkstresser went 2 for 4 and Kevin Keesey and Xavier Bonilla each homered. Conrads, starter Randy Stewart threw five innings, striking out three and walking one, to pick up the win. For Felton, Sam Schwartz and Dan Waldrup each doubled.
York Township 7, Windsor 3: At York Township, Nick Schuler led the home team by going 3 for 4 with two RBIs. Also for Township, Brady Lefever went 2 for 3, while starting pitcher Mark Fagnani threw five innings to pick up the win.. For Windsor, Chris Liggitt doubled.
Hallam 8, Jacobus 3: At Jacobus, Eric McNeal powered the Express going 2 for 3, including a grand slam. McNeal also hit a solo homer. Teammate Jaron Shimmel went 2 for 4, including a solo homer. For Jacobus, Mike Austin doubled.
