NEWVILLE, Pa. – The York College women's cross country team placed 12th out of 50 teams with one runner earning All-Region accolades on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships at Big Spring High School.
The Spartans finished with a total time 1:59:04, while Johns Hopkins won the event with a total time of 1:50:27.
Junior Alicia Dillman (Leola, Pa. / Conestoga Valley) led all Spartans runners with a 27th place finish at a time of 22:57 and earned a spot on the All-Region team with her top-35 finish. Dillman is now the fifth female runner in York history to earn All-Region accolades and the fourth in the last three seasons.
Junior Kathleen Cannon (Chapel Hill, N.C. / Chapel Hill) was the second Spartan to finish crossed the line in 71st place at time and right behind her was freshman Jess Delviscio (West Chester, Pa. / West Chester Bayard Rustin) who crossed the line 72nd place with a time of 23:51.3.
Freshman Alayna DeBruin (Mount Joy, Pa. / PAVCS) became the fourth and final Spartan to crack the top-100 in the field of 365 runners as she crossed the finish line in 84th place with a time of 24:05.2.
Senior Jenna Roberts (Stewartstown, Pa. / Kennard-Dale) closed out her career with the Green and White with a 105th place finish at a time of 24:21.0 in her third appearance at the regional meet.
Juniors Shannon Kuseryk (Ewing, N.J. / Ewing) and Kasey Fogelsanger (Owings Mills, Md. / Mercy) rounded out the Spartan lineup. Kuseryk placed 133rd with a time of 24:59.4 and Fogelsanger captured 157th with a time of 25:26.7.
