Midwestern driver Dusty Zomer won Friday's World of Outlaws sprint car feature during the World Finals at the Dirt Track at Charlotte. Zomer was able to withstand late challenges from a pair of local drivers to score the win.
Spring Grove's Greg Hodnett finished second with Stevie Smith in third. Brad Sweet, with York's Lee Stauffer as chief mechanic, finished fourth and Bryan Clauson was fifth. Hanover's Logan Schuchart was 17th and Red Lion's Cody Darrah 18th.
Brandon Sheppard won the World of Outlaws late model feature. Rounding out the top five were Steve Clanton, Chris Madden, Darrell Lanigan and Josh Richards. York's Rick Eckert was credited with 20th after an early-race tangle.
Danny Johnson was the DIRT modified winner over Larry Wight, Billy Decker, Matt Sheppard and Duane Howard.
