Central York/Dallastown team opens ice hockey season with 5-0 win


The combined team of Central York and Dallastown shut out Middletown 5-0 to kick off the Central Penn Interscholastic Hockey League Tier 3 season on Monday at the York City Ice Arena.

After leading just 2-0 after two periods, the combined team scored three times in the final period to open up the game. Collin Young scored twice in the third period to go along with his second-period goal, completing his hat trick. Anthony Tranchitella had a goal and three assists to lead all players with four points, while Remington Batt had a goal and two assists. Griffin Long only needed to make 12 saves to earn the shutout.
