Sweet tastes victory at Port Royal, collects $10,000

Brad Sweet won Saturday's World of Outlaws sprint car feature at Port Royal. Sweet collected $10,000 for his win in the 30-lap event.

Sweet started fourth and took the lead from Port Royal champion Lucas Wolfe on the 14th lap. His Kasey Kahne Racing teammate Daryn Pittman took the lead away from Sweet on the 22nd lap, but Sweet came back on a 25th lap restart to re-claim the top spot.

In the end, it was Sweet over Pittman, with Outlaw champion Donny Schatz in third. Danny Dietrich and Brent marks completed the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Dale Blaney, Greg Wilson, Shane Stewart, Spring Grove's Greg Hodnett and Hanover's Logan Schuchart.

Dan Davies bested former NASCAR cup driver David Stremme to win the Mid Atlantic Modified race.

OTHER DIRT TRACK RACING

Hagerstown: Marvin Winters collected $5,000 for leading all 40 laps of Saturday's Ernie's Fall Bash late model feature at Hagerstown. Winters bested Dylan Yoder to score the win, with Devin Friese, Greg Satterlee and Kenny Pettyjohn in the top five.

Justin Weaver won the late model sportsman feature, with Sean Dawson scoring the pure stock win.

Twin features for the All American Outlaws went to Justin Cullum and Danny Holmes.

On Friday at Hagerstown, Allan Brannon won the crate late model feature over Dan Angelicchio, Logan Roberson, Tyler Bare and Brian Booze.

The hobby stock feature went to Alex Boozel and Ed Gageby won the mini stock event.
