Penn State York men's soccer team wins its season opener

The Penn State York men's soccer team rolled to a convincing 6-0 win over Central Penn College on Wednesday to kick off its regular season.

The local Lions (1-0) scored three goals in each half, dominating the Knights in every facet of the game.

Six different players scored for PSY, starting with John Taylor in the 13th minute. That was followed by goals from Steve Miller, Casey Tober, Ethan Fair, Adrian Odira and Abdulla Alnaqbi. Taylor and Tober also tallied assists, along with Jeremy Weibley.

The local Lions outshot Central Penn 19-3, with keeper Paul Ambrose stopping all three shots he faced. The Knights dropped to 1-3.
