York College field hockey sophomore Ali Posey has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 6.

The Red Lion High School graduate led the Spartans to a 2-1 start to the season. In the season-opening loss at Gettysburg, Posey had her first collegiate hat trick to keep the Spartans in the game. She followed that up with another hat trick in the Spartans' 5-0 win over Eastern Mennonite, when she scored the three goals on eight shots.

Posey then notched the game-winning goal with 55 seconds left in regulation in the 1-0 win over Kenyon on Sunday afternoon.

Posey finished the week with 14 points on seven goals. She has scored 70 percent of the Spartan goals in 2015.
