West York High School graduate Josh Rinehart is four shots off the lead after the first round of the Pennsylvania Open golf tournament.

The event is being played at Rolling Green Golf Club in western Pennsylvania.

Rinehart is tied for 13th in the 133-player field after a 1-under-par 70 on Monday. The amateur finished his round with three straight birdies. Rinehart was a freshman on the Penn State golf team last year.

Newport's Kevin Kraft leads the event after opening with a 5-under-par 66. Devon's Billy Stewart and Broomall's Stu Ingraham were tied for second at 67.

The second round in the three-round event will be played Tuesday. After the second round, the field will be cut to the low 40 players and ties for Wednesday's final round.

Ace at South Hills: Larry Little had a hole-in-one on Monday at South Hills Golf Club near Hanover.

Little used a 9-iron to ace the 120-yard eighth hole on the South Course. It was witnessed by Dave Galloway.
