Spring Grove High School graduate Hali Flickinger continued her strong display at the Phillips 66 U.S. Nationals on Sunday with a couple medal-winning performances in San Antonio, Texas.
She captured gold in the 200-meter butterfly with a time of 2 minutes, 7.59 seconds. Later in the day, she followed that performance with a bronze medal in the 200-meter backstroke with a time of 2:10.60.
Flickinger, who will be a senior this fall at the University of Georgia, also captured silver in both the 400-meter freestyle on Thursday and 200-meter freestyle (1:58.18) on Friday. Her time of 4:07.93 in the 400-meter freestyle on Thursday was only five-hundredths of a second behind winner Lindsay Vrooman. Also in that event, West York High School junior Courtney Harnish finished third in 4:08.22.
Flickinger also swam to a seventh-place finish in Thursday's 100-meter butterfly. She swam that in 59.64 seconds, more than two seconds behind winner Kelsi Worrell's time of 57.27.
