CENTRAL LEAGUE: Stoverstown outlasts Mount Wolf for nine-inning triumph


Visiting Stoverstown outlasted Mount Wolf for a 3-1 nine-inning Central League baseball victory on Wednesday evening.

The visitors plated two runs in the top of the ninth to break a 1-1 tie and capture the victory.

Jordan Lehman led the visitors by throwing a complete game, striking out six and walking five.

Also for Stoverstown, Joe Capobianco went 2-for-3 with a double, while Levi Krause and Brandon Warner each doubled.

For Mount Wolf, John Mehring went 2-for-2, Jesse Sargen and Mark Burnside each doubled and Dan Dierdorff threw a complete game, striking out 10 and walking none.

Stoverstown improved to 15-11-0, while Mount Wolf fell to 15-7-2.


Manchester 6, Dillsburg 2: At Manchester, Camren Nye led the home team to the victory by throwing a complete game, striking out six and walking two. Teammate Dan Royer went 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI. For Dillsburg, Daulton Leonard and Dylan Johnson each doubled. Manchester improved to 13-12.

Dover 8, Pleasureville 3: At Dover, Mike Moore was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, including a home run in the fifth inning, to lead Dover. Teammate Jordan Higgins was 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs. For Pleasureville, Scott Ream was 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
