I write to endorse the reelection of Sheriff Richard Keuerleber.

In my 22 years on the bench, I found Sheriff Keuerleber to be a dedicated public servant always interested in helping with new projects and finding ways to get things done.

In 2008, when York County initiated the Target 25 Program, Sheriff Keuerleber was part of the initial task force and was instrumental in helping to develop policy that changed how York County handled repeat impaired drivers. This program has won several national awards for safely and legally keeping repeat DUI offenders from continuing to drive impaired thus improving public safety. The National Highway Safety Traffic Administration now promotes this program nationally.

I know he has started other programs that have saved the taxpayer money and helped his office and other agencies work more efficiently.

I believe he has the qualities of a good public servant and has served York County well.  I endorse another term for him.
