LETTER: Clancy will work tirelessly for justice
As the only candidate with a professional legal background and a strong legacy of volunteering in my community, I am writing to ask for your support of my candidacy for magisterial district judge of Spring Garden Township, West York and North York.
I am a graduate of both Messiah College and Dickinson School of Law and have spent over 20 years practicing law – the only candidate with a law degree and both civil and criminal experience.
My life is best characterized by commitments to my faith, my family and this community. I have served on the Spring Garden Township Rec Commission, York Little League Board of Directors and coached over 20 seasons of youth sports. I actively serve my church. I have twice been elected to the York Suburban School Board, where I am in my ninth year of service. With the sitting judge not seeking re-election, it is my hope to continue to serve my community in this capacity. I feel that I am the most qualified candidate in this race. You can learn more about me on Facebook at Jennifer JP Clancy. If elected, I will work tirelessly in bringing justice to those who come before the court. I will strive to apply the law to the facts at hand in an impartial manner.
I want to clear up the confusion of some individuals who appear to be supporting my opponents in this race. Prospective magisterial district judges who have no formal training in the law receive "certification" after completing a four-week class. As an attorney who is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar (for almost 25 years) I am exempt from attending the non-attorney training and am already qualified to take the bench if privileged to be elected.
Both Republicans and Democrats are able to vote for me in the May 19 primary election. Please support me in becoming your next magistrate.
JENNIFER JP CLANCY
