Coroner IDs man who died after being shot at York-area car wash

LETTER: Clancy ready for DJ bench

York Dispatch

Please join me in supporting Jennifer Clancy for magisterial district judge, serving Spring Garden Township, West York and North York.

Jennifer has the formal education, experience, intelligence and temperament to serve as an outstanding district judge. She has repeatedly demonstrated her dedication to making our community a great place to live. In addition to managing her own law practice and raising her family, Jennifer has twice been elected to the York Suburban School Board where, for nine years, she has put in countless hours of unpaid service solely for the betterment of our community. Jennifer has also coached youth basketball, softball and tennis through 20 seasons over the past 13 years and has served on various community boards of directors.

Unfortunately, some individuals are wrongly implying that another candidate in this race is the only one who is able to take the bench immediately because this candidate has completed a four-week certification course. As a licensed attorney, Jennifer is already qualified to serve as district judge and is not required to take this four-week course.

Hopefully, voters will not overlook the fact that Jennifer has completed three years of law school, passed the Pennsylvania bar exam, and practiced both civil and criminal law for over 20 years. It is certainly relevant to weigh this extensive record of legal training and hands-on experience against a four-week certification course.

We have the opportunity to vote for a well-qualified woman of integrity who has a proven record of public service. Please vote Jennifer Clancy on May 19.
