LETTER: Vote Slenker for judge

Choosing the two candidates who most deserve your votes for judge of the York County Court of Common Pleas is hard, given a field of seven quality candidates, all cross-filed as Republicans and Democrats.

But local police and attorneys have made that decision a little easier by proclaiming in a loud and clear voice that Neil Slenker should be one of your two selections.

Slenker is the only candidate to be recognized by both professions. He is the only candidate to be endorsed by both the York County and York City Fraternal Orders of Police. And he was one of the top two candidates in the York County Bar Association's poll to determine which candidates are most qualified to serve.

Police and attorneys are the professionals most intimately involved in the day-to-day workings of our judicial system. They are the ones who have the greatest stake in the outcome of this election.
