Letter: Unqualified endorsement for Slenker

York Dispatch

I have practiced law in York County for more than 60 years. I have appeared before the ablest judges of the York County courts in the modern era, beginning with Harvey Gross and Ray Sherwood. I believe Neil Slenker has the qualities that will place him among the most notable members of the York County judiciary.

I have been one of Neil's colleagues for almost 20 years. I have been impressed by his legal ability, his knowledge of the law and his temperament – all qualities a competent judge must possess together with experience in the broad areas of law.

Neil is mid-career, with the requisite maturity to qualify him for the harsh realities and rigors of the bench. He will be able to serve two full, 10-year tems. He is highly motivated and destined to become one of the very distinguished judges of York Countyin the mold of Gross, Sherwood, Koller, Shadle, Cassimatis, Blakey and Uhler.

A vote for Slenker will be a vote for the future high quality of the York County courts, and I unqualifiedly endorse him.
