LETTER: Slenker would be excellent judge

York Dispatch

I am writing to express my support for Neil Slenker as the most qualified candidate for judge of the Court of common Pleas. I have known Neil for almost 10 years — primarily through our mutual association with York Little League.

I have seen first-hand Neil's dedication to the youth of his community. For the young players he worked with, his instruction went beyond baseball fundamentals. His leadership showed them the importance of integrity, having good character and playing fair — not because it was expected, but simply because it was the right thing to do.

The ideal judicial candidate can be described as someone of exceptional moral character and integrity; a person who is dedicated and enthusiastic about their position; and a person with keen insight into people.

I can say without hesitation, that Neil Slenker does more than simply display these characteristics. He lives them every day.

Without a doubt, Neil has the background and experience to be very good at this position. But more than that — he has the values, integrity and character to be excellent.
