Who am I?

I am arguably the most unqualified person ever to be nominated for president by a major political party, in this case the Republican Party. Amazingly, despite my obvious shortcomings, the fools elect me.

Who am I?

Personally, I am a vulgar man with seemingly no moral compass whatsoever. I unequivocally support severe restrictions on immigration and free trade and also advocate greatly reduced taxation on the wealthy, subscribing to the trickle-down theory.

Who am I?

White supremacist groups flourish during my presidency. Scandal also abounds. As president, I staff skeptics of oversight to government positions, resulting in an "anything goes" attitude to prevail. My vice president, a bland, colorless individual, is a deeply conservative big zero.

Who am I?

No, I'm not Trump, but I surely do sound like I am, don't I? I am Warren G. Harding, your president from 1921 to 1923. And the only way that I could escape from the total mess that I created back then was to drop over dead, which I promptly did on Aug. 2, 1923, leaving you in the capable hands (just kidding) of my number 2, the big zero, Calvin "Mr. Excitement" Coolidge, the Mike Pence of the 1920s.

"Silent Cal" and Republican successor, Herbert Hoover, gullible buffoons both, kept in place my misguided reactionary policies, albeit without the vulgarity and scandal. Ultimately Herbie was left holding the bag when the inevitable occurred, the Crash of '29 and the decade of the Great Depression which followed.

This is the misery that you have to look forward to with my clone, Donald Trump, and his Republican cronies in charge. The parallels are downright frightening, aren't they?

"Those who do not know history are destined to repeat it." Welcome to the repeat performance. Heaven help us all.
