LETTER: Super Bowl solidarity

Yesterday, in Super Bowl LI, two teams, the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons, played a historic football game in which the Patriots won in overtime. These teams, comprised of black, white, brown, beige, yellow, and red men, who all are descendants from other countries in the recent or distant past, each performed together to the best of their abilities.

Given the huge divisions in these United States over politics, racism, immigrants, religion, healthcare, economics, fear, etc., perhaps we should ask, "Why can't our citizens also work together as the players of these teams do?" Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.
